May 2: Met with Maury Gallagher, Chairman and CEO of Allegiant Airlines, and donor and Chancellor’s Campaign Cabinet member, in Las Vegas to discuss achievements and changes for the GSM.

May 3: Teleconference meeting with Ann Barefield, Finance Manager at Intel, to discuss activities
and events at the GSM.

Teleconference meeting with Jim Wunderman, Bay Area Council’s CEO (and a visiting lecturer in the Bay Area MBA program) about actress Connie Nielsen’s film Lost in Africa and her Human Needs Project Foundation.

Teleconference meeting with Special Assistant to the Chancellor Bob Gore; CEO of Sacramento Area Regional Technology Alliance (SARTA) Meg Arnold; and Trish Kelly, Principal with Applied Development Economics, Inc., about the i6 Green Challenge Initiative proposal to be submitted to the U.S. Economic Development Administration in the Department of Commerce.

Met with Assistant Dean Mary McNally and Associate Dean Michael Maher to discuss the
GSM budget.
