SynapSense Receives Funding and Sales Support from General Electric

UC Davis spin-out SynapSense received a $5 million investment from General Electric as well as GE’s support in sales. SynapSense, launched by former Intel executive Peter Van Deventer and UC Davis computer science professor Raju Pandey, focuses wireless sensory technology that reduces energy output for computer data centers. GE joins Bosch, American River Ventures, Nth Power and DFJ Frontier as SynapSense investors, bringing the total investments in SynapSense to $25 million.
