Vaccine Technology Takes Top Prize at Business Plan Competition

The winner of the School’s annual Big Bang! Business Competition is Inserogen, a group of UC Davis students who conceived a process that substitutes tobacco plants for conventional vaccine manufacturing technologies, such as chicken eggs and cell culture, to cut development time for new vaccines from six months to as little as six weeks.
