Our Mission

Our aim is to provide an environment for students to develop new business ideas and bring them to fruition. We also create a forum for students to connect with venture capitalists, angel investors, GSM alumni, mentors, advisors, business school students and other entrepreneurs. The EIA works closely with the Davis, Sacramento and Bay Area business communities.

Mike Mayall


Mike Mayall, President

Mike Mayall is an MBA candidate at the Graduate School of Management. He earned his B.S. in marketing at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. With a background in sales, accounting and CRM systems management, his interests lie in business analytics and strategy. Throughout his career, Mayall has worked with startups in the Bay Area to ensure effective resource allocation and consistent process improvement. In his free time, he enjoys playing music, cooking and traveling.

Dominik Altheimer

Vice President

Dominik Altheimer, Vice President Dominik is an MBA candidate at the Graduate School of Management. His interests lie in technology and innovation, particularly how bigger firms manage to be innovative. He is earning his MBA to broaden his skillset and gain a more strategic perspective, leveraging his background in business operations and a degree in industrial engineering. In his spare time, Dominik likes to play tennis, ride his mountainbike, and ski. 

Ana Carolina Lopez Pinaya

Director of Operations and Finance

Ana Carolina Lopez Pinaya, Director of Operations and Finance 

Ana Carolina Lopez Pinaya is a 2017 MBA candidate focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and finance. She is highly involved in School activities. In addition to her role with the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Association, she participates on the boards of Associated Students of Management and the Women in Ledership Club, and is the International Student co-lead for the School’s MBA Ambassadors.

Lopez Pinaya developed her career in corporate finance at Procter & Gamble and Mars in Latin America. Her assignments varied from cost management and cost accounting to product and sales finance. Most recently she was the project leader for Eukanuba’s post-acquisition integration of Mars Mexico, and finance manager for the brand in the country.

Lopez Pinaya earned a B.S. in international relations from Universidade de São Paulo and an M.S. in economics of science and innovation from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics. In her off-time she loves traveling, watching Netflix, reading books and playing video games.
