About our Club
The Sports and Entertainment Association (SEA) enhances the value of the student experience at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM) by creating a collaborative community that facilitates academic, social, and professional growth. The SEA provides a framework for students to gain insights and access to the sports and entertainment world of business.
Rahul Churiwala is a 2016 MBA Candidate emphasizing on Marketing and Strategy. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering. He is fascinated by the impact of technology on business and the management side of a business, and that led him to take a 1 year long Product Management career with Ravi Metal Works. Being a Tech savvy person and having done Computer Engineering he joined Accenture as Software Analyst. He worked with them for almost 4 years and acted as a bridge between clients based out of Finland and his team based out of India. He likes to keep up with the latest technology trends, a Psychedelic Trance music fan and a Traveler (Loves to Travel). He has participated in various sports representing his state and his university. He is big sports fan and supporter.
Jessie was the captain of her university basketball team, leading the team to second place in the national basketball championship. Serving as the captain taught her how to be an effective leader and to work with people to confront challenges with optimism and resiliency. She hopes that at the GSM, everyone will enjoy fun events together. Jessie grew up in Taiwan playing primarily dodge ball, badminton and basketball. She is very active in intramural sports at UC Davis such as Frisbee, soccer and basketball. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spacing out and watching sports games!
Director of Operations
Patrick is a full-time MBA student at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. His focus is on business analytics, and he enjoys applying statistical techniques to analyze and solve problems. He looks forward to applying his skills and passion to drive data-driven decision making and influence long-term strategy. He is also actively involved in student government as the Treasurer of the Graduate Student Association. He likes playing or watching a variety of sports, including soccer, volleyball, squash, snowboarding, frisbee, and more!
