Overview
WayUp Sacramento was created by Sacramento City Councilmember Jay Schenirer to provide support and services to help young people and their families be successful.
WayUp Sacramento has five interconnected components that work together to build a healthier community. WaySmart provides educational support, WayFresh increases access to healthy food, WayFit provides supplemental health support, WayHome seeks to increase neighborhood stability by increasing home ownership, and WaytoWork will increase the quantity and quality of healthcare related employment opportunities in the Sacramento community by attracting new industries and aligning K-16 education with employment needs. The GSM Project will focus on the opportunity with WaytoWork.
