Dean's Announcement

Kathy Gleed Named Chief Diversity Officer

In January we launched a School-wide diversity plan led by Linda Oubre as our first Chief Diversity Officer. With Linda’s impending departure in June, I am pleased to announce that Kathy Gleed will serve as the School’s Chief Diversity Officer. She will continue in her current role as Director of Academic and Student Services.

Building on the work already underway, Kathy will continue to work with our constituencies to develop and implement initiatives that reflect our commitment to achieving a diverse and outstanding student body, faculty and staff.

Kathy has been with the Graduate School of Management for nearly a decade and at UC Davis for 20 years in a variety of roles. As Director of Academic and Student Services, she leads the team that oversees our student experience and works closely with many members of our community. She has been a valuable member of the Diversity Task Force that has spearheaded many of the actions in progress.

Please join me in congratulating Kathy as she accepts this critical appointment.

Best regards,

Steven Currall
Dean and Professor of Management
