Dean's Announcement

A Message from Dean Currall

Dear GSM Community,

As we enter the last few weeks of our 30th academic year at the Graduate School of Management, I invite you to join me for a community town hall meeting on Monday, May 7, from 10:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. in the Abbaszadeh Lecture Hall at Gallagher Hall.

This will be an open forum to share ideas, provide updates and address any concerns you may have, and an opportunity for me to answer your questions about the School and UC Davis.

We are moving forward at full speed from what I believe is a historic turning point for our collective future prominence, leadership and impact.

A few of the topics that we’ll address include:

  • New programs we are launching, including our Master of Professional Accountancy degree this fall
  • Successful launch of our IMPACT MBA curriculum this year, and class schedules, elective offerings, etc.

  • Update on our School-wide diversity initiative and early accomplishments
  • My goals for upcoming trip to China regarding possible future partnerships with Chinese universities and business schools

  • The Nov. 18 pepper spray incident and the campus’ proactive responses to The Reynoso Task Force Report’s recommendations

I encourage all students, faculty and staff to attend, and look forward to seeing everyone on May 7th.

Best regards,

Steve Currall
Dean and Professor of Management
