Join us for the Big Bang! Business Competition kickoff with keynote speaker Andrew Barkett, Big Bang! supporter and chief technology officer for the Republican National Committee, followed by 2013 1st Place and People’s Choice Award winners ViVita Technologies.

Andrew Barkett left his post as senior engineer at Facebook to bring his decade of experience in Silicon Valley to become the first-ever chief technology officer for the Republican National Committee in June 2013.

Andrew has long been involved in—and passionate about—innovation and entrepreneurship. The Big Bang! embodies that spirit. As a GSM alumnus, Andy is dedicated to helping the competition become the premier vehicle through which all members of the UC Davis community can take an idea, refine it, find collaborators, and ultimately get the help needed to realize their idea in the form of a successful business.

This is the first formal Big Bang! networking event of the year, providing you the opportunity to meet with other members of the Big Bang! community and to begin to share ideas and formulate teams.
