Former Executive Vice President, Worldwide Operations, Veritas Software Corporation

Paul Sallaberry is the former executive vice president of worldwide operations for Veritas Software Corporation. He retired from Veritas in January 2004 as a highly regarded head of worldwide sales and is credited with building one of the most successful sales organizations in the software industry. Sallaberry joined the company in early 1997 through the merger of Veritas and OpenVision, where he was senior vice president. Over his 11-year career, Sallaberry grew revenues from $50 million dollars to more than $1.6 billion dollars. Prior to Veritas, he was a senior executive at Oracle Corporation, where he led their vertical industries business.

Sallaberry serves on the board of directors at Quest Software, GFI, Mimosa Systems, Ocarina Networks, Calypso Technology and Folsom-based Dorado Software. In addition, he is an active advisor to several financial service firms and is a frequent guest speaker in graduate business programs throughout California.

Sallaberry earned a B.A. in environmental planning and management from UC Davis in 1979. He is a major supporter of UC Davis and serves as a Foundation trustee for the campus. His wife, Nancy, earned a B.S. in dietetics from UC Davis in 1978. They have three sons; the oldest is a sophomore at the university studying hydraulics.
