This sustainability tour covers much of the sunny brewery grounds, showcasing Sierra Nevada Brewery’s alternative energy efforts and many of the initiatives based on their “reduce, reuse, recycle, rot” philosophy. You’ll check out California’s largest privately owned solar installation (10,500+ panels!), their fuel cell technology and the remarkable HotRot composter, as well as the recycling and conservation program that helped us divert 99.8 percent of their solid waste from landfills in 2012. Your tour will wrap up in the beautiful eight-acre hop field and lush two-acre garden where you can nosh on freshly harvested produce and enjoy educational tastings of the award-winning brews from Sierra Nevada!

A charter bus that will pick us up at 7:30am at Gallagher Hall, take us to the brewery and then arrive back in Davis around 4:00pm.  Breakfast will also be provided for all attendees!! After the tour, we will have lunch and beverages at the Sierra Nevada brew pub where you can sample their extensive repertoire of beers normally not found in the stores.  Please note that lunch is not included in the ticket price.  Friends/significant others welcome!
