Wil Agatstein enjoyed a long career with Intel before joining as the executive director of the UC Davis Child Family Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He was most recently vice president of the Channel Platforms Group & Sales/Marketing Group at Intel and previous to that he held diverse positions, including general manager of the Reseller Products Group, marketing director of the Reseller Products Group and design manager at the Penang Design Centre.
Agatstein is a past Robert A. Fox Executive-in-Residence at the Graduate School of Management and teaches courses on business development. He also has led the School’s international study trips. He has a B.S. in materials science from Rice University.


297 International Study Trip
This course is led by students under a faculty’s supervision. Participating students select a country to study, identify industry sectors to explore, and establish contacts with business executives in various companies to meet during the field trip. The field trip takes place between the winter and spring quarters for Day MBA and September for Working Professional MBA. The class meets every other week to facilitate the learning about international trade, country profiles, industry sectors, and business practices based on student-driven secondary research and presentations.

L. Wilton Agatstein, Jr., a senior executive with Intel Corporation who retired at the end of last year, has been named the Robert A. Fox Executive-in-Residence for this spring.
With nearly three decades of global experience in the competitive high-tech arena, Agatstein will tap his deep understanding and expertise in emerging markets to teach a quarter-long MBA course focused on innovation for the developing world.

New Executive Director for Center for Entrepreneurship
L. Wilton Agatstein, Jr., has been named executive director of the UC Davis Center for Entrepreneurship. Prior to 2008 Agatstein was vice president at Intel and the head of Intel’s Emerging Markets Group; in spring 2008 he was the Graduate School of Management’s Robert A. Fox Executive-in-Residence.
