Matt is a second-year MBA student with a concentration in finance and strategy. Matt grew up in San Francisco and received his undergraduate degree in history from UC Davis. Prior to attending the Graduate School of Management at Davis, Matt worked for the United States Air Force, conducting combat search and rescue missions in Afghanistan. Matt also has experience in project finance and raised equity for tax credit developments primarily in the renewable energy field.
Jimmy is a second-year MBA student concentrating in Marketing and General Management. His undergraduate degree is in Business Economics from the University of California Santa Barbara. His previous work experience includes marketing at a whitewater rafting company, market research at a financial research firm, and business development at a business coaching firm. His extra-curricular interests include music, photography, and adventure sports. Jimmy is currently the Vice President of the Associate Students of Management and Director of Student Affairs.
Emily Rancer is a second-year MBA candidate with a concentration in marketing. Before turning to business, Emily was in journalism, most recently as Assistant Managing Editor at the Pacific Coast Business Times –a weekly business journal based in Santa Barbara, Calif. There, she organized, produced and wrote for the weekly paper. She also led the redesign of the journal’s website in 2008, increasing hits 10-fold.
Sarah is a second-year MBA candidate concentrating on General Management and focusing on Nonprofit Management. Before enrolling in the Graduate School of Management, Sarah received a BA in Economics with a minor in Public Service and Government from UC San Diego. She gained experience in retail management and biotechnology equity analysis before finding her passion for the nonprofit sector and, more specifically, nonprofit training and consulting.
Craig is a second-year MBA student with concentrations in strategy and marketing. Craig chose Davis because of the spirit of collaboration he felt amongst its students and for its strength in organizational behavior. Prior to coming to Davis, Craig was a pastor in Los Angeles for four years and then moved to San Francisco to participate in the Coro Fellowship Program in Public Affairs. Craig earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Northwestern University and his Master of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, CA.
Stephanie is a second-year MBA candidate with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, focusing on energy efficiency and health care. Originally from Connecticut, she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and began her career at a health care consulting firm. Upon moving to the West Coast she was part of the strategic planning and business development team of a hospital system and hopes to continue in health care after her time at the Graduate School of Management.Stephanie chose UC Davis because of its focus on sustainability and entrepreneurism.
