Getting involved with Zasaka this year was a true highlight of my entire Graduate School of Management experience—and it proved that UC Davis was totally the right school for me.
One of the main reasons I decided to get my MBA at the GSM was the sustainability and entrepreneurial culture that seemed to be widespread across campus. The Big Bang! Business Competition is just one of the many programs here at UCD that helps keep that culture alive and well.
The University of California, Davis, launched 14 commercial startups during the past year to June 30 — the largest number of new ventures based on UC Davis technology to be started in a single year. Several have ties to the Child Family Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

He is the co-founder of MicroMidas, which aims to turn trash into plastic.
Green Tech Entrepreneurship Academy alum Peter Frykman and his startup Driptech were recently featured in a New York Times story on the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship in India. Driptech makes affordable, efficient irrigation systems for small-plot farmers. Check it out!
