A leading expert in banking and corporate finance, Professor Robert Marquez tries to uncover the mechanisms that underlie the behavior of financial institutions. One important focus of his research now is the effect low interest rates have on banks and whether they encourage banks to take on more leverage.
The Graduate School of Management Alumni Association (GSMAA) is governed by a group of alumni volunteers who serve on the board of directors. The board meets at least three times a year to plan events and ensure that alumni have a strong voice in the ongoing growth and development of the School.
The board’s mission is to facilitate strong affiliations among alumni, students, faculty, staff and the communities that we share.
Nishith Mathur has extensive experience leading large organization change programs for implementation of business strategy, business processes, and IT systems in several domains including Electronics, High-Tech, Manufacturing, and Automotive sectors.
He has worked at companies such as Accenture, IBM, and Satyam (now Tech Mahindra). Currently, he is Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Blue Star Infotech, a global IT services company where he is responsible for all Operations including sales, delivery, solutions, and human resources.

They offer a real-life perspective about being a UC Davis MBA student and an insider’s view of life in the classroom and beyond.
We encourage prospective MBA candidates to visit to the School to discover first-hand the special qualities of the UC Davis MBA program and our community.
After the class, you will be paired with an MBA Ambassador for an informal conversation about our program as well as an introduction to our MBA Admissions Team. Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Career Development Process for Part-time Students
Prior to working with the Career Development Team, part-time students must first attend a Career Development Jump Start Your MBA Job Search Workshop. You will learn how to enhance your Elevator Pitch, leverage LinkedIn and the MBA Job Search Strategy (adapted from the book The 2 Hour Job Search by Steve Dalton).
Workshops will be held at least once per month at each location. Dates and sign-up instructions are posted in the weekly Career Development newsletter.
