Resources and relevant policies to assist instructors in the development of course schedules, syllabus, and travel arrangements are organized by the Associate Dean of Instruction and the Academic Operations and Planning team. These individuals are familiar with UC Davis policies to ensure compliance and standards.
Faculty and instructors receive an overview on grading, setting up and maintaining course materials on SmartSite, how to conduct and deliver course evaluations at the end of the quarter, and what to do in the event academic misconduct occurs at any point throughout the duration of the course.

Anita Oberbauer’s father was a rancher, and he nurtured her interest in livestock when she was growing up. She earned a BS at UC Davis and then moved east to Cornell University for her PhD emphasizing food animal growth and development. These experiences instilled in her a deep abiding affinity for animal agriculture that is sustainable from environmental, economic and social perspectives.
The generous support of Barry and Lynda Keller, through the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, the Keller Entrepreneurship Academy Fellowship annually supports three selected UC Davis researchers to attend an Entrepreneurship Academy.
The Harkins Entrepreneurship Academy Fellowship Fund annually supports the participation of a selected UC Davis undergraduate student, graduate student or postdoctoral researcher in one of the institute’s Entrepreneurship Academies.

Maria Navas-Moreno earned a BS in physics and mechanical engineering and an MS in biomedical sciences from the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
