Parking
Quarterly “GS” Permits:
Purchasing a $60 quarterly permit allows you to park in lot 12.
Quarterly permits are valid after 5pm on weeknights and all day
on weekends, for whatever vehicle you are driving (simply display
the permit on the dashboard). To obtain a quarterly permit,
submit cash or check with your registration form.
Daily Permits:
$3.00 evening permits, valid in lots 12,14 16, or 17 after 5pm,
are available from a kiosk in lot 14. Credit cards are accepted
at this kiosk. Weekend all-day passes from this kiosk are also
$3.00.
Davis Campus Permits:
Students, faculty or staff with Davis campus “C” permits can park
in lots 14 and 16 (or anywhere where UCDMC “C” permits are valid.
Faculty/staff with Davis campus “A” permits can park in lot 12 or
anywhere UCDMC “B” permits are valid.
Hours and Access
Building Hours
The Education Building entrances are locked after 6:30 pm on
weekdays, and all day on weekends. Classrooms and meeting rooms
are locked at Mon-Thurs at 9 pm and Fridays at 6 pm, and all day
on weekdays. Meeting rooms and computer lab are locked after 9
pm, and on weekends, a key is access these rooms can be obtained
in Room 2203.
Program Hours
The GSM has exclusive use of the North Wing of the 2nd Floor from
5:30-9:30 pm, Mon-Thurs, and 8:30 am-4:30 pm on Saturdays.
Classrooms can be reserved in advance, but any open classroom
during this time is available to GSM students exclusively on a
first-come, first-served basis.
Key Cards/Name Badges
The Education Building requires your access card or name badge
for entry to the building and the GSM Office* after hours. These
key cards function as your Required ID Badge for security as a
part of UCDMC professional campus. If you experience issues or
need a replacement card, please contact Gabriel Coleman.
*To open the GSM office door with your key card, swipe the card over the card reader to the right of the door sign; then simply push the door open.
Staff
For student issues/concerns, contact Kyle Westbrook, Sacramento Program Manager. Kyle serves as the primary liaison for students, serves as an advisor on policies and procedures, and provides leadership for student programs and events.

Amenities
- Copier: located in Room 2209, just off the north foyer. Students must check out a copy card from the GSM Office, room 2203
- Color Printers/Fax machine: located in room 2203. Wireless
printing is available via your Guest wireless network or Student
wireless network
Use of any network resource, including wifi, requires a UCDMC Computing Account. This account is different and independent of your campus (Kerberos) account. You must activate your UCDMC Account in the Computer Lab. - Microwave, snacks, water cooler and coffee maker located in room 2203
- Computer Lab: located in Room 2106
- 4th-floor Interprofessional Lounge: features a sink, larger refrigerator, additional seating, and a digital piano.
- Classroom/Meeting Rooms: A/V and Computer Equipment are aequipped with computers, DVD and VHS tape players, video screens, and audio/video recording capabilities. Laptops can be plugged in with a standard analog 15-pin plug. Equipment is controlled by touch-screens inset on the whiteboards on the wall in each room. Computers are automatically logged in. DO NOT log off the classroom computers. Logging off requires a complete reset of the room’s A/V system.
- Conference calls and Video conferencing are available with 1-2 days advance notice. Contact Gabriel Coleman to schedule A/V conferencing capability.
Mailboxes
Sacramento MBA student mailboxes are located in the lateral filing cabinets in room 2203. Please note: Cross-registration students only have a mailbox at their home campus. Papers and/or homework may be retrieved from Room 2203.
Public Transit and Bicycling
Sacramento Regional Transit routes 38, 50E serve the UC Davis Medical center. The Light Rail Gold Line stops at the 48th St. Station, which is about a half-mile walk through residential neighborhoods to the Education Building.
Please note: Transit schedules vary at night and on weekends and holidays. Please plan for your return trip as well as for the particular day of your class.
Bicycle racks are located outside the main entrance of the Education Building.
Reserving a Room
To reserve a room during Program Hours, please use the GSM’s Event Management System (EMS).
During the day, the facility is used by the Schools of Medicine and Nursing, so room scheduling must be coordinated with them. Please contact Gabriel Coleman if you would like to reserve a room during the day.

Places to Eat
There are a number of places to eat near the Sacramento Education Building. A few are listed below:
Scrubs Cafe – located on the first floor of the Education Building, this cafe features grab-and-go food, made-to-order sandwiches, a full coffee bar, and other assorted snacks and beverages. Open till 6pm.
Bistro Biagio – Located in the Courtyard Marriot, features a full bar and takeout options. 916-403-9261.
Boon Boon Cafe – Thai food; 3022 Stockton Blvd.
Au Lac Veggie – Vegetarian and vegan dishes; 3500 Stockton Blvd.
Subway, Jack in the Box – Corner of Stockton and Broadway.
