Full-Time MBA Important Next Steps

The transition from professional to MBA student may seem complicated, but we are here to help it go as smoothly as possible. Here is a complete list of what you need to do to prepare for joining taking your first classes this fall.

To do right now:

  • Check Your VIP Page
    Check for the latest information on your VIP page, including deadlines and requirements. Make sure sure we have received all official transcripts, recommendations and outstanding official score reports.
  • Statement of Legal Residence
    Complete your Statement of Legal Residence form. The University Registrar website has instructions are available online.
  • Set up your computing account
    Your computing account provides you access to everything you need as an MBA student online, including registration and resources to get your classes. To get started, you will need to be enrolled as an incoming student for Fall quarter, and the student ID number that appears on your admission letter.
  • Complete the New Student Surveys
    The UC Davis MBA program is part of a study involving more than 40 US MBA programs.  The study collects information on the attitudes and expectations of new MBA students.  The survey is completely anonymous and takes about 10-15 min to complete.  Results of the survey will be shared with students at orientation.
  • Register for Orientation
    Orientation for Daytime students will be from September 15-16, and from September 18-25. Check your VIP page for more details.
  • Full-Time MBA Career Development Summer Requirements
    Schedule a Career Launch advising session
    View all webinars prior to summer orientation
    Prepare for case study interviews
    Register for a National Diversity & Career Conference

Before Orientation

  • Waiver Exams
    Please complete this survey if you would like to take a waiver exam.                       August 15: Deadline to complete waiver exam survey.
  • Register for Classes
    Registration is now open. Please visit this page for complete Registration Instructions. August 15: Deadline to register for fall 2013 classes.
  • Quantitative Fundamentals
    All students at the Graduate School of Management must complete the Quantitative Fundamentals Assessment. The assessment takes approximately 15 – 30 hours to complete.
    September 4: Deadline to complete the Assessment.
