Sacramento MBA Important Next Steps

The transition to professional and MBA student may seem complicated, but we are here to help it go as smoothly as possible. Here is a complete list of what you need to do to prepare for joining taking your first classes this fall.

To do right now:

  • Check Your VIP Page
    Check for the latest information on your VIP page, including deadlines and requirements. Make sure sure we have received all official transcripts, recommendations and outstanding official score reports.
  • Set up Your Computing Account
    Your computing account provides you online access to everything you need as an MBA student, including registration and resources to get your classes. To get started, you will need to be enrolled as an incoming student for Fall quarter, and the student ID number that appears on your admission letter. You will need your account to register for classes and in order complete the Quantitative Fundamentals Assessment.  
  • Register for Classes
    Pay and register for classes by August 15. Registration Instructions can be found here
  • Register for Orientation
    Orientation will be held on September 7-8. Sign-up by August 15th
  • Upload Your Profile Picture                                                                                           Your profile picture will be used for your Student ID. Upload your picture by August 15th.
  • Waiver Exams                                                                                                             Information on waiver exams can be found here. The deadline to complete the waiver exam survey is August 15. 

Before Orientation in September

  • Quantitative Fundamentals
    All students at the Graduate School of Management must complete the Quantitative Fundamentals Assessment. The assessment takes approximately 15 – 30 hours to complete.
    September 4: Deadline to Complete the Assessment.

  • Complete the New Student Surveys
    The UC Davis MBA program is part of a study involving more than 40 US MBA programs.  The study collects information on the attitudes and expectations of new MBA students.  The survey is completely anonymous and takes about 10-15 min to complete.  Results of the survey will be shared with students at orientation.

After Orientation

  • Optional Career Development Opportunities
    In order to use the services of the Career Development Center at the Graduate School of Management, Part-time students are required to complete a two step registration process:
    Complete and submit the Career Development registration form.
    Once given access, take the Career Leader Self Assessment.
