James (Jim) Linton is co-founder and Chief Business Officer of Owl biomedical, Inc. (a recently acquired wholly-owned subsidiary of Miltenyi Biotec) a leader in developing the world’s 1st clinical cell sorting device for cellular therapy, cellular diagnostics and life sciences research.

During his 25 year career Dr. Linton has raised more than $250M in equity capital, secured strategic alliances valued at more than $400M and participated in initiation of co-founding of five biotech companies, three of which have been acquired. 

Dr. Linton received his BS degree from Muhlenberg College, his PhD in human molecular genetics from Emory University and his MBA from the University of California, Davis.  He takes great pride in converting good science into exciting business opportunities that dramatically enhance medical research and treatments.
