Mingyu Qu is a senior technical marketing engineer at STMicroelectronics (ST). She transferred to the ST U.S. branch in 2008 from Beijing due to outstanding performance on market development. Mingyu previously had worked as a section manager in ST Asia’s Advanced Marketing organization. She has more than 10 years of experience in technical marketing in the semiconductor industry and eight and a half years of experience as an electrical engineer in the aerospace and power industries.

She joined the UC Davis Bay Area MBA program in 2011 and is concentrating on general management. Her long-term goal is to focus on non-profit organizations within educational and environmental sustainability. She has been looking forward to the International Study Trip, and is very interested in German culture and industry. She would like to learn more about German energy efficiency and sustainability, and doing business in Germany. Besides work and study, Mingyu enjoys hiking in parks, mountains, and forests. She also has a great passion for volunteer work.
