In 2004, Monique Fritz launched her career as a talented marketing and sales professional, and joined Lockheed Martin in 2007. Monique has become a well-rounded F&BO professional, and a graduate of the Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP).  She excels at project management, proposal negotiations, and building strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.

Leveraging her interpersonal and project management skills–in roles such as Proposal Leader and Contracts Negotiator–has resulted in successfully negotiating complex fee structures that have yielded $500K+ in added revenue, as well as achieving the highest fee ever awarded to the LCTMK program.

Monique is also entrepreneurial and creative by nature; and shines when problem-solving and devising innovative solutions. One of Monique’s defining roles at LMSSC was serving as Project Coordinator in Business Development.  In this capacity, she effectively managed business operations for the Space Experience Center, a 4,000 ft2 showroom located near Washington DC. This role involved the careful oversight of a $2.5M budget, strategic structuring of the showroom’s design and content, development of all branding and marketing communications–including the logo, in addition to sourcing, contracting, and overseeing several contractors.  The showroom was completed on-time, within budget, and even won an esteemed Telly-award.

In 2011, Monique showcased her innovation and leadership skills as she led a team of ten colleagues as the Editor-in-Chief for InsideFLDP, a quarterly F&BO periodical.  She entered the role with a new vision and strategy for improving the publication’s content, team-morale and productivity, and growing the readership-base.  At the end of her term, she successfully re-branded the outdated quarterly, re-energized the team, and grew readership by 73%.

Outside of work, Monique is a 3rd-year UC Davis MBA student concentrating in strategy and marketing.

What opportunities, decisions, events have shaped your professional life?

My career path has been a climb across a jungle gym rather than a tangent up a corporate ladder. I wanted to shed my humble origins and become Corporate Barbie.
