California’s Smart Energy Investment

Professor Andrew Hargadon served as moderator for “California’s Smart Energy Investments: Enabling the Next Generation of Energy Efficiency,” the last in a series of forums exploring The Roots of Energy Efficiency presented by the UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center in June. Hargadon, who holds the Soderquist Chair in Entrepreneurship, was the founding director of the EEC, and the series premiered under his direction.

In November Hargadon moderated the Pew Foundation’s Business Environmental Leadership Council workshop in Washington, D.C. The workshop brought together business leaders, policy makers, scientists and others to develop new approaches to complex environmental concerns. Five days later, Hargadon presented on “Growing Green Tech Entrepreneurs” at a pre-conference for the Governors’ Global Climate Summit 3.
