Career Development Registration and Using Symplicity to Find Jobs
Career Development Handbook for Part-time Students
In order to use the services of the Career Development Center at the Graduate School of Management, Part-time students are required to complete a two step registration process with Career Development by first filling out and sending in the registration form. You will then be contacted by Career Development to provide you with your access information to take the required self-assessment Career Leader.
Career Leader
The process begins with the self-assessment test we have called Career Leader, an assessment test designed specifically for MBA students. It is a great resource for everything pertaining to a job search process. Once you fax or email your Registration Form, you will be given your password for Career Leader.
Plan on spending a good amount of time on it, taking the assessment can take up to an hour & a half, and reading over all your results should take at least another hour initially, but it’s also great to refer back to it periodically with a fresh outlook Besides the assessment part, make sure you utilize the entire site for everything pertaining to the job search process including the section on overcoming or strengthening weakness.
Make sure you print anything that you want to keep for future reference to a PDF as your access is only good through your Graduate School of Management tenure.

Using Symplicity to Access Jobs
Upon request, Part-time Students who are already registered with the Career Development Center and are in their last year of the program can have access to Symplicity’s internal job listings after they have satisfied the Interview Stream Requirement.
Interview Stream is an online tool that records students answering interview questions to gauge their interview skills and see areas for improvement. This is required to help Part-time Students prepare for the interview process. Part-time Students are required to answer at least 3 questions from Interview Stream, but may answer as many as they would like beyond the requirement.
