Get Set for Success at MBA Career Fairs/Employer Events
Sunday, September 15 and Monday, September 16

Please arrive at the GSM at 7:30 a.m. for a full day, convening at 8:30 p.m. Sunday and ending at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

MBA recruitment conferences provide a critical opportunity for competitive MBA candidates to be noticed by companies and secure an internship or full time position. The first national fairs take place before fall classes begin.

We are eager to help you prepare to attend the national conferences, as well as all your interactions with employers. The Career Development Orientation is focused on maximizing your marketability to employers.

You will need a hard copy of your resume and your laptop in order to fully participate in these sessions.

Rikin Vasani, MBA Interview Prep

Rikin VasaniRikin Vasani, speaker and coach with MBACASE (www.mbacase.com), began coaching after working at Bain & company for four years. Previous to that, he spent time at Deutsche Banc London, Morgan Stanley, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He is extensively versed in the Crack the Case System, an innovative blend of concept, cases and videos, brought together in a book format. CTCS has over 150 videos that bring to life concepts through tips, interviewers asking questions and candidates explaining their work.  These engaging materials challenge candidates to think quickly in an integrated way while working through strategic problems that include data and handouts.

Steve Dalton – MBA Job Search

Steve Dalton is the author of The 2-Hour Job Search: Using Technology to Get the Right Job Faster, the former associate marketing manager at General Mills and a strategy consultant at A.T. Kearney. He will share practical and MBA-tested tips, perspective and insights that you can use to build your career plan.

Siamac Ehsan – Leveraging National Career Fairs

Siamac Ehsan is a second-year UC Davis MBA student and a summer intern in merchandising at Sam’s Club. He will pursue an additional internship in marketing with Gallo Winery. Siamac will share his perspective on networking and interviewing at National Career Fairs and provide practical tips on interacting with company recruiters.
