Information Sessions
Career Development Handbook for Part-time Students

In addition to career fairs, the Graduate School of Management hosts many company information sessions throughout the year to enable students to learn more about potential employers. Employers use this time to share their company history, promote their organization, describe their company culture and talk about career paths and opportunities.

Mostly, they are providing interview advice. These informal information sessions provide the means for students to learn more about the employers they are considering before participating in the interview process.

Most companies will be providing some type of refreshments and will require you to sign up in advance. We take your sign-ups seriously and will expect you to show if your name appears on the list, and so does the recruiter. We place catering orders according to sign-up sheets as early as ten days prior to the event and then confirm quantities five days prior. Low attendance reflects negatively on the Graduate School of Management, and effectively discourages companies from recruiting for career & internship positions. If, for any reason you need to arrive late, we will expect you to be quiet and courteous and act professional.
