Job Clubs
Career Development Handbook for MBA Students

Job Clubs are groups of individuals getting together to support each other through the trials and tribulations of finding employment. The purpose of Job Club is to keep job seekers informed, motivated and connected. The design of the student-run Job Club sets the tone, flow, time and material covered. As the Job Club grows, it will continue to change to meet the needs of the participants.

Job Club should meet on a weekly basis for an entire quarter for the greatest effect. Each week, students will take turns running the group; every student will have the opportunity to be a leader in the process. These job clubs will tackle job search-related topics and address the needs and concerns of its group members who are looking for opportunities. The focus is on respect, support and commitment. The ideal number in a Job Club is between 5 and 8 participants.
