Fall 2013 Registration Timeline & Overview
Please read through the instructions carefully prior to starting the registration process.
IF YOU WERE A UC DAVIS UNDERGRADUATE: Our registration processes differs from the main campus. Do not start the process in SISWEB.
GSM Registration and Payment System (RaPS):
- Payment, registration and all GSM add/drops/course changes are processed in RaPS (and forwarded to SISWEB). Do NOT access SISWEB directly.
- In Manage Schedule, required courses are pre-loaded to your schedule.
Reg1 (incoming students) Opens: Thursday, August 1, 6:00 a.m.
Initial Payment & Registration Closes: Friday, August 15, midnight
September 15 – 18
September 19: RaPS opens for changes and updates.
December 9 – 13
You are expected to attend courses through the end of finals, including all final exams at their posted times.

BEFORE YOU CAN START THE REGISTRATION PROCRESS:
Before you have access to RaPS, you must set up your UC Davis computing account (if you have not already done so). This must be done at least 48 hours before you attempt to access RaPS FYI: your UCD ID# can be found on your Enrollment Reply Form. It is the 9-digit number found at the top of the page along with your name.

Your UC Davis LoginID & Kerberos passhprase
There are multiple steps to the registration process and all must be completed to trigger enrollment.
RaPS registration transmits to the campus system on an hourly basis during these times:
Monday – Friday 6:00a.m. to 12 midnight
Saturday – Sunday 10:00a.m. to 6:00p.m.
Any registration and payment submitted outside these times are date/time stamped and submitted as soon as the campus system re-opens.
Students are enrolled in courses based on the date/time stamp of their payment/ registration. Within 24 hours of payment, students receive an automated enrollment confirmation email. If a confirmation email is not received within 24 hours, return to RaPS, Manage Schedule to check your status in the Enrollment Status column. Click on the link in that column for additional information on your current status. Do not verify enrollment in SmartSite.
As a reminder, ALL GSM registration activity (adding and/or dropping) must be done in RaPS, NOT SISWEB. By entering registration changes directly into SISWEB, students will automatically activate a registration freeze on their accounts. Be advised that it may take in excess of 72 hours to resolve the conflict in both systems.
1. Manage Schedule
In RaPS, log in (UCD LoginID and Kerberos passphrase) and select courses in Manage Schedule. Proceed to Pay for Courses.
2. Pay for Courses- All fees must be paid prior to enrolling in courses*
*ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT AND PAYING FEES
Your $1,500 Enrollment Deposit is automatically credited to your account.
REGISTRATION PENALTY FEE
You will incur a $250 registration penalty fee if you have not met the initial payment/registration deadline.
