Class E-mail Lists

Class email lists are created in Smartsite. Only those enrolled in and added to the class email list may send emails to the list via the Smartsite course page. Only ucdavis.edu email addresses will be recognized in the system.

Class Composite

Class composites are pictures of students enrolled in your class. You may also access this online. Faculty will need to login via their UC Davis login and Kerberos password. Visiting faculty do not have access to this system; please contact our office to obtain a copy.

Syllabi

Syllabi are due two months prior to the quarter in which you are teaching. E-mail syllabi to instructional@gsm.ucdavis.edu. All syllabi will be loaded to Smartsite and the course schedule.

Textbooks

Textbook orders must be submitted 3 months prior to the beginning of class.

Examination/desk copies and supplementary teaching materials may be ordered via our office. If the examination copy is for an upcoming class, please submit the request as early as possible.

Textpaks

Textpaks are a compilation of copyright materials such as academic journal articles, case studies, popular magazine articles, newspaper articles and chapters from a book. All textpaks if required are accessible online from Study.net.

Visiting Faculty Class Expenses

Visiting faculty and lecturers have a $250 budget for each course and will also be charged accordingly for anything beyond normal course materials. If visiting instructors have materials that go beyond $250, please seek approval by the Associate Dean’s office.
