Tech Minor Prerequisites and Eligible Majors
Undergraduate Technology Management Minor

Prerequisites: 14-16 units

  • Management 11A (Accounting):  4 units
  • Mathematics 16A–16B, 17A–17B or 21A–21B:  6–8 units
  • Statistics 13 or any 100 level course or above:  4 units

Students must take these courses for a letter grade. Most prerequisites could be used to partially satisfy the University’s General Education requirements for science and engineering majors. No grade lower than a C- will be accepted in any prerequisite course.

Eligibility to Apply for the Minor

Continuing UC Davis Students

In addition to being in an eligible major, students will need to have at least one quarter of UC Davis coursework on their academic record to apply for the minor. Since part of the selection criteria includes an overall GPA at the time of the application, a UC Davis GPA is needed to apply.

If you currently are in your first quarter at UC Davis, you are welcome to apply during the next admissions cycle.

If you change majors after being admitted to the Technology Management Minor Program to a major that is not eligible for the program, you are no longer eligible to continue in the Technology Management Minor Program.

Targeted Majors

Due to limited enrollment, only students from the following majors will be allowed to apply to the Technology Management Minor. The minor is designed to combine business and management skills with a student’s understanding of engineering and scientific processes.
