Alyssa Marks
Assistant Director, Academic Operations and Planning

As the Assistant Director of Academic Operations and Planning, Alyssa Marks manages the GSM Academic Personnel process, including the merit and promotion review process, courtesy and visiting academic appointments, faculty recruitments, and other academic personnel duties. She ensures that the GSM is in compliance with Academic Senate and Academic Personnel policies and she provides academic personnel recommendations to the Associate Dean after thorough policy research. She assists with overseeing the development and administration of curriculum and course schedules for all programs within the GSM. Alyssa also directly supports the Associate Deans and the Senior Assistant Dean through general academic research and analysis.

Alyssa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics at UC Davis and she has worked at the GSM since 2011 as a Student Assistant and as an Academic Operations and Planning Analyst. She was previously employed in the Accounting department at Premier Power Renewable Energy, Inc., a company specializing in solar energy.
