Brad Hooker, UC Davis
Staff Profile

Brad Hooker
Content Writer & Editor

Brad Hooker tells the story of UC Davis Graduate School of Management. His writing delves into the powerful science and the personal journeys behind the people who deliver our research and expertise to the world.

As a freelance journalist, he investigated the money behind D.C. politics, tracked climate change and water scarcity in Ecuadorian villages and sifted through the quantum soup of new science unlocked by the world’s biggest particle colliders.

He lifted UC Davis to the global stage as the communications director for the World Food Center, where campus research took on the challenge of helping feed a rapidly growing and changing planet. Previously, as a science writer for the Department of Plant Sciences, he chronicled the impact of UC Davis science during California’s greatest drought.

Brad’s creative nonfiction approach stems from the University of Oregon, where he received his M.S. in magazine journalism.
