Has overall management responsibility for Academic & Student Services. Manages all programs, policies and procedures affecting student enrollment, program management, leadership development, international programs and academic advising. Coordinates all Orientation events and the Commencement ceremony. Oversees the International Exchange program. As chief diversity officer, leads the School’s Diversity Task Force and works with our constituencies to develop and implement initiatives that reflect our commitment to achieving a diverse and outstanding student body, faculty and staff.

A landmark collaboration between the six University of California business schools and the nation’s historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs)launched in May with the first annual UC Summer Institute for Emerging Managers and Leaders (SIEML).

In January we launched a School-wide diversity plan led by Linda Oubre as our first Chief Diversity Officer. With Linda’s impending departure in June, I am pleased to announce that Kathy Gleed will serve as the School’s Chief Diversity Officer. She will continue in her current role as Director of Academic and Student Services.

Building on the work already underway, Kathy will continue to work with our constituencies to develop and implement initiatives that reflect our commitment to achieving a diverse and outstanding student body, faculty and staff.
