MBA Challenge for Charity
We are a student run club that organizes volunteering and fundraising events for our community partners: The Special Olympics of Northern California, the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Sacramento, and Habitat for Humanity.
We host a number of events, both for students as well as faculty, staff, alumni and the greater community to raise funds for our partners. In addition, we set up volunteering opportunities where our students can go and interact with the children at the Boys & Girls Club and the Special Olympics, and build houses for Habitat for Humanity.
Check out our Facebook for the latest information and pictures from our latest events!
Bay Area Finance Association
The Bay Area Finance Association (BAFA) is the student finance club at the University of California, Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM) Bay Area Program.
BAFA is comprised of current part-time candidates at the San Ramon GSM campus. We provide a student based learning environment that allows an open exchange of ideas in a broad array of categories related to finance.
All current members are allowed full benefits of membership, including attendance to speakers, participation in contests and reserved space at networking events. Students must be BAFA members (pay a one-time membership fee) to run for association offices, and to vote in BAFA and association elections.
Net Impact is an international non-profit organization dedicated to fostering a network of business leaders who use the power of business to create a positive net social, environmental, and economic impact.
Davis Net Impact works with the GSM faculty and staff to offer courses in social entrepreneurship and sustainable business focusing on the “triple bottom line.” Our chapter regularly hosts speakers, organizes educational and volunteer events, organizes an annual welcome retreat for new and continuing students, and attends the annual National Net Impact Conference.
Big Bang! is the annual UC Davis Business Plan Competition organized by MBA students of the Graduate School of Management. The goal of the contest is to promote entrepreneurship at UC Davis and the region supported by the University.
