Alex Tsao ‘12
Innovator Scholar
Alex is a second year MBA candidate with a concentration in Entrepreneurship, focusing on sales and business development. Originally from Los Angeles, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of California-Irvine in East Asian Cultures where he learned Chinese and received a minor in business. He began his career in insurance and went into small business development and eventually in logistic management. He chose the UC Davis Graduate School of Management because of its focus on entrepreneurship, top ranked faculty. He holds a leadership position as a co-director of outreach for the Big Bang Competition which is the annual entrepreneurship contest at UC-Davis. When he is not in class, Alex enjoys playing intramural sports, riding his bike, rock climbing, going to restaurants in surrounding towns, and socializing with other students.
I chose the UC Davis MBA for the international reputation of its faculty and the personal attention offered to students. Career Development meets with you one-on-one to chart your post-MBA path. This support has led to an internship at Intel. Most importantly, it’s made a lasting change in me.
