Silicon Valley IT Networks Firm Brocade Partners on MBA Student Consulting Project

Silicon Valley IT Networks Firm Brocade Partners on MBA Student Consulting Project

(Davis, CA) — Brocade partnered with the UC Davis Graduate School of Management for a three-month student project designed by the company’s vice president and treasurer Jean Furter.

The students worked on a challenging proposition for Brocade’s treasury group. In turn they received direction and mentoring from Furter and Brandon Hillstead, a Graduate School of Management ‘09 alumnus and Brocade’s global enterprise risk management coordinator.

The project’s goal was to develop a new theoretical methodology to explore prioritization and risk mitigation investment. This project proved justification for high impact low probability risks. The students presented to a panel of top executives, meet Brocade’s CEO, participate in a Q&A session and conclude with a networking luncheon.
