Graduate School of Management Dean’s Fall Welcome Luncheon
As part of our MBA curriculum here at the GSM, it is required that each student complete an internship during the summer between their first and second year. Of course, even if it weren’t a requirement, we would all still want a summer internship.
Last week, we went to the annual Dean’s Fall Welcome Luncheon in the UC Davis conference center. Dean Currall, who many of us got a chance to talk with at Mocktails with the Dean, presented a State of the School address.
The event brought together students, alumni, donors and faculty to network and chat over a delicious lunch. Dean Currall talked about his role and vision in building a world-class business school. He discussed the strategic investments the school is making, and how these investments fit with his vision. He even fielded some hardball questions during lunch.
I had the opportunity to attend the luncheon as a first year last year, and again this year. I continue to be impressed and inspired by the GSM leadership and the state of our school.
