MBAdmit Day is finally almost here! Students who have been admitted to the Graduate School of Management Class of 2012 have been invited to Gallagher Hall on Friday, March 12, for a full day of activities, including a presentation from Professor Brad Barber about regulatory reform and a wine reception featuring wineries connected to GSM alumni.
Planned by current students, Admit Day is a chance for prospective students to learn what life is like at the GSM and interact with other admitted and current students.
From the perspective of one of those current students planning the day, I am so impressed that we have had more than enough people volunteer to spend the day helping out (even though MBAdmit Day falls on the Friday before finals!) I think this is just a testament to how proud we are of our program; current students are happy to spend time reaching out to next year’s class.
For me, this day takes on particular meaning, as it was Admit Day 2009 that solidly convinced me that the UC Davis GSM was the right school for me. I felt so comfortable with the current students and culture of the GSM that I sent in my deposit as soon as I returned home. Additionally, on MBAdmit Day I met several of my current classmates, so there were plenty of familiar faces when I arrived on campus for orientation.
So welcome, Class of 2012. We hope you have a great day!
