New MBA Students Team Up in Intel Case Competition
As the culmination of their three-week orientation, incoming Full-Time MBA students divided and conquered in teams to develop solutions to a real-world supply chain challenge presented by Intel Corporation.
“We were able to write a case study that reflects the challenges we’ve seen internally,” said alumnus Michael Mayall MBA 17, an Intel program manager who brought the competition to the GSM and served as a judge for the student presentations.
Anxiety and excitement filled Gallagher Hall as teams rehearsed their presentations and tweaked their slides and pitches ahead of the judging.
Several managers and executives from Intel scored the students’ solutions and recognized two top teams with awards.
The competition planted the seeds for strong bonds to grow over the next two years. It also gave the students a chance to be appreciated for their potential and learn more about the global technology leader that offers many internship and career opportunities.
