About our Club

Our Mission

The Associated Students of Management (ASM) enhances the value of the student experience at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM) by creating a connected and collaborative community that facilitates academic, social, and professional growth.

The ASM provides a framework for connecting the students at the GSM not only with each other, but with administration, faculty, and alumni.

Who We Are

The Associated Students of Management (ASM) enhances the value of the student experience at the UC Davis Graduate School of Management (GSM) by creating a connected and collaborative community that facilitates academic, social, and professional growth.

The ASM provides a framework for connecting the students at the GSM not only with each other, but with administration, faculty, and alumni.

Students must be ASM members (pay a one-time membership fee) to run for club offices, including ASM, and to vote in ASM and club elections. Dues go directly to supporting the foundation of the student-run activities listed above.

PATRICK ROSENBERG
President

Patrick Rosenberg Patrick is a 2020 MBA Candidate specializing in general management and strategy. Specifically, Patrick is focusing on the intersection of business and positive change. Outside of ASM, Patrick serves as the Internal Recruitment Lead for the Ambassadors and helps organize the Challenge for Charity chapter of UC Davis. Patrick enjoyed working for a small e-commerce company and teaching martial arts after graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. When he’s not balancing spreadsheets at the Graduate School of Management or doing forensics research for his part-time job, Patrick can be found catching up on reading for his book club, cooking, and staying active. One of his favorite books is Drive: The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Usby Daniel H. Pink.

ALEXANDER GORDON
Vice President- External

Alexander Gordon Alex Gordon is a 2020 MBA Candidate with an emphasis in marketing and health and wellness. In addition to his role on ASM, he also serves as the Events Lead for the UC Davis MBA Ambassadors and is an active member of both the Food & Wine and Consulting Clubs .  After graduating with a B.S. in Cellular and Developmental Biology from UC Santa Barbara he worked for several years in a cardiology clinic.  Alex will be spending his summer in Philadelphia interning for Athena Global Advisors.  Outside of the classroom, Alex enjoys getting outdoors, watching and quoting movies/television shows, and trying any type of new food.

JONATHAN LEE
Vice President-Internal

Jonathan Lee Jonathan Lee is a 2020 MBA Candidate interested in finance and business strategy. In addition to his role on ASM, he also serves as the co-Director for the UC Davis MBA Ambassadors. After graduating with a B.S. in Management from UC Merced, he worked for at an international textile and home goods manufacturing company in an administrative capacity, frequently interfacing with Marketing, Operations, Accounting, and Import/Export. He then went on to work for a mortgage broker based in San Jose for several years before deciding it was time to pursue an MBA. In his spare time, Jonathan enjoys vocal music, settling down somewhere with a good book, and trying new recipes. 

ALEKHYA MADIRAJU
Director of Finance

Alekhya Madiraju Alekhya is a 2020 MBA Candidate interested in Finance and Business Analytics. She has a bachelors in Mechanical engineering and a masters in Chemistry from BITS Pilani, India. After 7 years of industrial R&D experience, she wanted to pursue MBA to have a greater impact in bringing right technologies to the market. Alekhya believes in continuous improvement of self, both personally and professionally. In her free time, she loves to indulge in eastern and western philosophies. She likes to watch movies, read books and hang out with friends for fun. Going forward, Alekhya sees herself building knowledge and skills necessary to lead intelligent people and drive innovations. 

DANIEL STUDENT
Director of Intercultural Collaboration

Daniel Student Daniel Student is a 2020 MBA Candidate with a passion for intercultural collaboration, facilitating teams, and developing products and businesses with design thinking and other forms of innovation. While pursuing his full-time studies, he also serves as Thought Leadership & Branding Associate for The Potrero Group, defining the consulting company’s position at the intersection of the private and public sectors in the social impact space. On that note, he also serves as president of Net Impact for the Graduate School of Management. Prior to moving to the bay area, he worked in the professional performing arts in Philadelphia for ten years, cultivating human-centered change by building non-profits and directing diverse actors in over 30 theatrical productions, and was lauded for “rapidly proving himself a young director of range and vision” by the Philadelphia Inquirer. SHWETHA CHANDRASHEKAR
Director of Innovation and Outreach

Shwetha Chandrashekar Shwetha Chandrashekar is a 2020 MBA Candidate interested corporate strategy, finance and business analytics. After earning her law degree from National Law School of India University, Shwetha spent six years of her professional life acquiring competencies in the banking, start-up and VC investment ecosystem as a corporate lawyer across a wide variety of industries. She is passionate about helping businesses reach their full potential through focused, data- driven problem solving. Having had the privilege of being mentored by strong and driven women throughout her career, she has gained an understanding of the incredible perspectives women can bring to organizations and as change makers. She is excited to her take these learnings forward as the Co-President of the Women in Leadership Club. She will spend her summer as a finance intern at a leading technology company in San Francisco. In her spare time she enjoys dancing, cooking, performing at karaoke nights and board games.

MARIA LABOUYER
Director of Health and Wellness

Maria LaBouyer Maria LaBouyer is a 2020 MBA Candidate interested in strategic marketing and marketing analytics. She attended Wellesley College where she was a varsity softball player and majored in biology. She is passionate about how diet and exercise influence our health and was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to study the gut microbiome in Aberdeen Scotland. After completing her Master’s degree in Human Nutrition she moved to New York City to work at a biotech startup studying the gut-brain axis. Ready to hone her business skills and move closer to home Maria decided to start her MBA at UC Davis. She will be doing her internship this summer at Varian in Palo Alto. In her spare time Maria loves to play sports, cook and travel.

SOPHIE LINNETT
Director of Academic Relations

Sophie Linnett Sophie Linnett is a 2020 MBA Candidate interested in operations and strategy. After graduating from Columbia University with a B.A. in Classics, Sophie founded an educational services company that helps students access opportunities in higher education. Students of Sophie’s program have earned over three million dollars in scholarship funds. For fun, Sophie enjoys hiking in her hometown of Oakland and playing pub trivia.

PRASHANTHI MANNURU
Director of Career Services

Prashanthi Mannuru Prashanthi Mannuru is a 2020 MBA Candidate with a focus in Marketing and Strategy. After graduating from Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Hospital with a bachelor’s degree in dentistry, she worked for a private dental clinic to gain clinical experience and eventually set up her own practice in Chennai, India. While practising as a dentist, she also ventured into her family owned enterprise, which provides complete automated packaging solutions to manufacturing companies in South India. To have a broader impact in people’s lives, she wants to work for organizations that focus on improving people’s lives. In her spare time, Prashanthi loves to cook, dance and watch movies.

CARROLYN MORRICE
Director of Alumni Relations

Carolyn Morrice Carolyn Morrice is a 2020 MBA Candidate interested in marketing and strategy. After graduating from Stanford University with a B.S. in Environmental Systems Engineering, Carolyn joined Accenture Consulting. She worked on a variety of projects for her clients, including a software asset management project at a cyber security company and an SAP implementation at a global chemical company. In her spare time, Carolyn enjoys swimming with the Davis Aquatic Masters swim team, traveling, scuba diving, and exploring Northern California.
