Food & Wine Leadership Club
Enhancing student academic, social and professional growth in all aspects of the food, agriculture and wine industries

The Food & Wine Leadership Club aims to connect the community’s and campus’s excellence and knowledge in the Food & Wine Industry with MBA students at the GSM. Through networking events, speakers and tours the FWLC strives to shape leaders for the future of the industry.

UC Davis is both a leading agriculture institution and home to one of the best-respected viticulture and enology programs in the world. It is the mission of the Food & Wine Leadership Club to help the GSM community to become more familiar with, and active within, these industries.

Lesley WatsonLesley Watson
Co-President

Lesley is a marketer in the food industry.  She earned a Communication degree from UC Santa Barbara with a minor in Art History. Over the course of eight years she developed an expertise in paid marketing while working with restaurant and agriculture clients at top advertising agencies in the food industry.  At the GSM she has furthered her focus on food marketing, participating in the Food and Agriculture Industry Immersion program and emphasizing studies in marketing.  She lives for experiencing food through travel, snowboarding, hiking, and enjoys crafting a meal in her kitchen.

Yuan ChengYuan Cheng
Co-President

Yuan spent the first ten years of his career in the collision claims software industry, where he held roles across product management, sales operations, and customer success. His desire to impact developing communities on a more global scale led him to pursue his MBA at UC Davis with an eye on Food and Agriculture. He might be new to the industry, but he’s excited to learn and invite others to join this journey that connects people and planet. In his free time, he enjoys archery, pearl milk tea, and basically any sport that involves chasing a ball.
