Graduate Accounting Club
The Graduate Accounting Club (GAC) enhances the value of the Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) student experience by creating a collaborative community that facilitates academic, ethical, social and professional growth.

The GAC provides a framework for generating ideas to improve the MPAc program, networking with alumni, engaging in philanthropic activities and coordinating extracurricular events.

Griffin Mitchell, PresidentGriffin Mitchell

President

Griffin Mitchell is a 2018 MPAc candidate. After receiving his Bachelor of Science from CSU Chico in finance and project management, he interned at PwC’s San Francisco office as a core assurance intern working in financial services. He is excited to pursue a career in public accounting with the firm after graduation. Griffin’s favorite part of the MPAc program is the people he is surrounded by and he enjoys getting to know his classmates, professors and staff more each day.

Mona Zibahalat, Vice PresidentMona Zibahalat

Vice President

Mona Zibahalat is a 2018 MPAc candidate. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. After her undergraduate experience, she spent a few years giving back to the community she grew up in through teaching young children the wonders of mathematics. Andrew Cook, Director of EventsAndrew Cook

Director of Events

Andrew Cook is a 2018 MPAc candidate who is interested in a career in public accounting. He completed his undergraduate degree at Humboldt State University, where he double majored in business administration and economics. Andrew enjoys being involved by participating in student organizations and remaining active in the community where he lives. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors, exploring new places, cooking and spending quality time with friends and family. Connect on LinkedIn

Rui Liu, Director of CommunicationsRui Liu

Director of Communications

Rui Liu is a 2019 MPAc candidate. After graduating from UIBE as an accounting major, Rui went directly into the 21-month MPAc program. In her free time she enjoys doing yoga, photography and cooking. She also loves to devote her time assisting in autism treatment. After graduation she plans to pursue a career in public accounting. Connect on LinkedIn

Yuanlun Yin, Director of International RelationsYuanlun Yin

Director of International Relations

Yuanlun Yin is a 2019 MPAc candidate. He was born and raised in a beautiful coastal city in China and received his bachelor’s degree in international economics in China. He has a strong interest in international politics and enjoys watching college football, cooking and driving. After graduation he plans to pursue a career in public accounting. Connect on LinkedIn

Wanlei Zheng, Director of FinanceWanlei Zheng

Director of Finance

Wanlei Zheng is a 2019 MPAc candidate and received her bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Colorado–Boulder. She enjoys hiking, cooking and hanging out with friends in her spare time. After graduation she plans to pursue a career in public accounting.
