UC Davis MBA Leadership Fellows Program (LFP)

The UC Davis Graduate School of Management is committed to training world-class business and management leaders, to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, and to being an engine of economic prosperity in our region and globally.

As part of this mission, the Graduate School of Management has developed the UC Davis MBA Leadership Fellows Program (LFP). The program is designed to provide students with tools to gain greater awareness of their personal leadership principles and related leadership competencies and provide training and experiences that foster growth in these areas.

Through the program, we seek to build student capacity and tool sets to grow as leaders throughout their careers, build lifelong leadership capability for our students, and differentiate our students in jobs and career pursuits.

The program has been built incorporating tools and approaches used by Fortune 500 companies to develop talent, and includes:

  • UC Davis MBA Leadership Competency Model.
  • Korn Ferry Leadership Architect Voices® 360 Assessment.
  • Leadership development programing, delivered by GSM faculty and industry experts.
  • Development of a Personal Leadership Development Plan.
  • Leadership coaching for students by a certified leadership development coach who has been trained by our industry partner, Korn Ferry.

What Students Should Expect

The LFP has been designed to strengthen student experience and performance in both the MBA program and in their careers long after graduation. In partnership with Korn Ferry, the preeminent authority on leadership and talent development, we have built a program that  engages students in identifying leadership competency gaps and development activities to close those gaps.

The LFP experience includes a 360° assessment activity. Using the Korn Ferry Leadership Architect Voices® 360, students are assessed against the UC Davis MBA Leadership Competency Model. The data gathered provides a foundation of understanding of leadership capability and future development needs.
