Microbiome Entrepreneurship Academy

Microbiome Image

Understanding the gut microbiome has the potential to dramatically impact human and animal health. Join us for the inaugural entrepreneurship academy bringing together a network of minds to move ideas forward in this critical area of research.

Designed to move microbiome innovations from the laboratory to the marketplace, this three-day intensive, hands-on academy based on our award-winning platform brings together microbiology, biochemistry, food and nutrition, and human and animal health students, postdocs, and research faculty with exploratory interest in commercializing their research.

The academy is taught by investors, entrepreneurs, university faculty and industry experts who serve as mentors and guest speakers. Participants gained the knowledge and networks needed to develop the commercial potential of your research or idea.

The academy includeS:

  • A three-day intensive on exploring the market opportunities surrounding your ideas and your research;
  • Daily seminars and interactive sessions taught by leading industry executives, investors, and entrepreneurs;
  • The tools to communicate the broader potential of your research and develop a presentation pitch about your idea;
  • Mentoring sessions with industry executives and investors in the microbiome arena;
  • The opportunity to develop a network of professionals in the microbiome fields who can help mentor and connect you as you move forward with your career or new venture.
