Career Development & Bay Area DSAC Speaker Series
The University of Davis, Graduate School of Management, Career Development Team and Bay Area Dean’s Student Advisory Council (DSAC) is pleased to present to you the Fall Speaker Series. The event strives to bring in diverse business leaders to provide the GSM community with insightful perspectives.
For the Fall Speaker Series, we invited three GSM alumni and one GSM student to share their business school experience. Speaker panel will share their experience balancing school, work, and family. The speakers will also share how they leverage their MBA degree to accelerate their career.

Archana manages the eMortgage Strategic Solutions at Ellie Mae. She has held product management and engineering leadership roles at EMC, RSA Security Systems, Siebel, and NASA. Archana holds an MBA from the GSM, a Masters degree in Computer Science and dual Bachelors degrees in Computer Science and Biological Sciences from CSU Hayward.
Heather is a process specialist at a large winery where she specializes in project management, team building, lean methodologies, and analytics. Heather recently switched careers from Engineering to Human Resources. She was also CEO and Co-founder of SunTherm Energy, a solar thermal company. Hopkins received her B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Merced and is currently an MBA candidate at UC Davis. Heather welcomed her daughter between her first and second year at the GSM.
Ananda is part of the technical marketing and business development leadership team in Broadcom’s billion-dollar Wi-Fi Business unit. His efforts have led to multiple design-wins for Broadcom’s Wi-Fi chip-sets at top-tier communications companies and service providers such as Cisco, AT&T, Comcast, Verizon, and Netgear. Ananda is part of the MBA graduating class of 2018 from the GSM.
Michael is a recent MBA graduate from UC Davis where he was a UC Davis Energy and Sustainability Fellowship recipient. He completed his undergraduate degree in accounting and finance at California State University, East Bay. Michael has more than a decade of experience in a variety of analytical and planning roles. He previously worked in business consulting with an emphasis on building the financial fluency of his clients.
