Master of Professional Accountancy career placement preview

UC Davis Master of Professional Accountancy (MPAc) program graduates continue to be in very high demand. Less than two month from earning their  degrees, nearly all of this year’s graduates have landed jobs.

For the graduating Class of 2020:

  • 97% of graduates have received offers.
  • Overall placement is 95%.

The 9-month MPAc program prepares graduates for careers at the Big Four accounting firms—KMPG, Deliotte, EY and PwC—other top accounting firms, corporate accounting and other rewarding roles.

With 62 graduates, the Class of 2020 is one of the largest in the program’s history. So far 97% of those graduates have offers and nearly all of those offers have been accepted.

MPAc Associate Director Alex Minnis attributes the placement success to several distinguishing advantages of the program.

“Our fast-paced program is designed to prepare students for the nuances of accounting and allows them to hit the ground running upon graduation,” she says.

Minnis added that the program’s advanced curriculum gives students an edge in a competitive job market.

“Our advanced courses in auditing, tax and financial reporting, international accounting, ethics and communications challenges and prepares students for a rewarding career in one of the fastest-growing global fields.”
