Who built this tool?
Two UC Davis MSBA and MBA students collaborated with our leadership team initially to build this tool to help future prospective students in their academic journey. Several current students under the direction of our MSBA Executive Director Amy Russell contributed their expertise to bring this service live. The UC Davis Graduate School of Management plans to have each new MSBA class update the tool every year.
The inaugural project effort was led by:
- Sundararajan Srinivasan MBA 15
- Anil Jacob MSBA 18
- Amy Russell MBA 15, Executive Director of the UC Davis MSBA

Why was this tool built?
After starting our UC Davis MSBA program in San Francisco in 2017, we found there was not a way for prospective students to easily compare the growing number of these programs based on key factors. We’ve solved this problem in a unique collaboration with our students.
What are the universities in the consideration set?
The MSBA Search Tool database includes 50 graduate programs in business analytics, analytics or quantitative management. Only in-person programs are included, no online or hybrid programs.
