New Accounting Students Meet the Firms
Proven placement success: 100% U.S. eligible 2019 grads accept offers
More than 20 of the most prestigious accounting firms visited Gallagher Hall this past week to network with new Master of Professional Accountancy students at the culmination of orientation: our annual Meet the Firms networking event.
It’s where the rubber-meets-the-road for the networking skills the students sharpened during bootcamps and orientation workshops. Students met with partners and recruiters as well as many alumni who returned to campus to represent their firms.
Firms at the event included Anderson Tax, Apercen, BDO, BPM, California Department of Finance, California State Auditor, Campbell Taylor Washburn, CohnReznick, Crowe LLP, Deloitte, Eide Bailly, EY, Gilbert CPAs, Johnston, Gremaux & Rossi, KCoe Isom, KPMG, MGO, Moss Adams, OUM & Co., PwC, RINA Accountants and Advisors, RSM and Sensiba San Filippo.
“It’s incredible to see the support from these well respected firms at this event,” said MPAc Executive Director Will Snyder. “It speaks to the quality of our program that so many large firms are coming here to network with and hire our students and alumni.”

Snyder knows that for the students, this is just the start, with a series of interviews over the coming weeks. He said most students secure a job offer by Thanksgiving break.
He announced that last year’s class had 100% job placement for U.S. eligible employees within three months of graduation, including new positions at EY, PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, Gilbert, RSM and BPM.
“It’s exciting to see our students earn employment with some of the biggest names in the industry,” MPAc Academic Director and Professor Hollis Skaife said. “Many of our candidates boast variety and excellence beyond accounting, and that diversity has become valued in the professional world.”
