Michelle Leyden Li JD 93/MBA 95
Michelle Leyden Li is Vice President of Product Marketing for GlobalFoundries, the world’s largest specialty foundry, providing manufacturing services to the semiconductor industry. Michelle is part of a leadership team that is responsible for over $6B annual revenue and 16,000 employees. For much of the past two decades, Michelle has held executive positions in product marketing, product management and sales in the semiconductor industry including leadership roles at Qualcomm, Zilog and Intel. Outside of work, Michelle is active in volunteer work, recently traveling with her husband and daughter to build houses in Mexico with Come Build Hope, and to Budapest, Hungary with her daughter to teach English and baseball to children and teenagers as part of the Word of Life Ministry.
Michelle and her husband Hong-Shen recently celebrated their 30th anniversary and have two children: Alex is a Navy officer currently earning his medical degree at USUHS and Grace is sophomore in high school and a starter on her varsity basketball team. Michelle is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and an expert who has lent her voice to the GSM many times over the years, including at last year’s Women in Tech panel. Michelle is a member of Society of Women Engineers and the California Bar Association. Michelle’s peers describe her as “passionate”, “versatile”, “savvy” ,and having a “ringmaster’s confidence”. She holds 2 advanced degrees from UC Davis, a Juris Doctorate from King Hall School of Law and a Master of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Management, as well as a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SUNY Purchase in Music Performance.
