Big Bang! Food and Ag Poster Competition

The Big Bang! Food and Ag Poster Competition is designed to help participants define their business idea and communicate it concisely using a poster. This is an entry-level competition, no business experience is necessary. 

Little Bang! Poster Competition

Generously sponsored by Gowan Company and AGR Partners, this poster competition is open to the public and offers three awards for innovations in food and agriculture:

  • $2,500 First Place Award
  • $1,500 Second Place Award
  • $1,000 People’s Choice Award

Participants are encouraged to take advantage of information and assistance provided in Big Bang! workshops (available on demand) and office hours (see below).

Submission / Participation Guidelines

Participants are asked to prepare a poster, 90-second pitch and customer call summary document. During networking, participants will stand next to their poster and practice their pitch in front of attendees. Once the networking portion of the evening concludes, participants will present in front of the group.

Interested participants must RSVP to register and submit PDFs of poster and customer call summary document no later than Monday, May 21 at 5 p.m. Note that you will be entering a poster where indicated.

Office Hours

The institute’s student ambassadors will hold regular office hours to assist participants in preparing their submittals. Ambassadors are available to meet with individuals or teams to answer questions, offer feedback and advise students.
